Partnerships
To better interact and positively be engaged in the international debate on the conceptualization and development of the creative industries and with a view to reinforce an intellectual property approach/perspective to such industries, WIPO has established partnerships with international intergovernmental organizations such as UNESCO,UNCTAD, UNIDO, UNDP, ILO, ITC and others. In order to monitor trends in the creative indsutries working relationships have been maintained with organizations representing the creators in the specific creative industries, and/or dealing with economic research in the field of copyright, culture and creativity. WIPOs creative industries program has received support by its Member States and several governments have contributed to implementing specific projects in this field.
